Each year we participate in several different conferences and trade shows and we’re coming up on the heavy spring season. Like many other companies, we really enjoy the opportunity to interact with customers, resellers, the press, and other vendors.
In our business, we serve many sectors, and our trade show schedule is quite diverse.
For example, in March, we will be in Baltimore for the Society for Photographic Education conference. We attended SPE for the first time last year, in Chicago. We had a great time talking with many eager photography students, who had questions about how to back up their digital photos so that a random hard drive crash wouldn’t result in them losing all their images.
And then there’s CinemaCon in Las Vegas. This is a staple show for us, because of our leading role in manufacturing the hard drive carriers used to transport and store digital movies. CinemaCon is always a fun experience, because it involves movies. And who doesn’t like movies?
Then there are reseller shows, like D&H West Coast in California. These are an amazing opportunities to connect with our reseller community. We get to hear about how their businesses are going and how we can help them succeed and expand their offerings.
Since we are a go-to partner in digital forensics, cybercrime, ediscovery, and data encryption, these shows are especially busy. Our own James Wiebe often conducts standing-room only talks at these events, and we look forward to him doing more this year.
